“Inside The Games”

During the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, 500 electric school buses will be deployed, along with dedicated charging infrastructure, serving as a green transportation alternative for accredited Olympic staff. The project is a collaboration between Highland Electric Fleets and the LA28 Organizing Committee

The iconic yellow school buses will be converted into zero-emission vehicles, supported by a unique program for route management, charging, and technical assistance to meet the complex logistics of the Games

The goal is to reduce the environmental footprint of the Olympics and showcase innovative, sustainable solutions as part of the vision for “green Games” that will leave a positive legacy for Los Angeles

The Olympic Games will take place from July 14 to 30, 2028, and the Paralympic Games from August 15 to 27

The organizing committee has adopted principles of climate resilience, circular economy, and reuse of existing venues instead of new construction, aiming to cut costs and environmental damage.
