Since the age of 6, he’s dreamed of winning an Olympic medal in surfing, and to this day, he can’t explain where this dream came from.
While a student in 11th grade at the Begin High School in Rosh HaAyin, he left school due to the heavy training and competition schedule and completed his full high school diploma self-studying.
In 2016, Tom won a bronze medal at the World Junior Championships, and a year later, in 2017, he was crowned World Junior Champion at a competition held in Italy.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Reuveni won the gold medal.
After finishing the 13 preliminary races, he finished in second place, which advanced him to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals he finished second, qualified for the final, and secured a medal for himself.
In the final race, Reuveni made the right tactical choices and secured the first place. He continued to lead throughout the race and crossed the finish line first ahead of Australian Gray Morris and Luke Van Opzeeland from the Netherlands.
