The Israeli rhythmic gymnastics team was one of the main candidates identified by the Israeli Olympic Committee with the potential to bring a medal from the Paris 2024 Games and they did exactly that on the final day of the games.
The team’s first exercise in Paris with the hoops was average, and they received a score of 35.600 points for it, ranking only 5th after it.
But the girls proved they are made of champions material. In the second exercise, which combined ribbons and balls, the team performed a much better and more difficult routine, propelling them from fifth place after the first exercise straight to second place with a combined score of 68.850 points.
Israel won the silver medal after China with the Gold and before Italy that got the bronze medal.
