The Israeli men’s recurve archery team made history and won the gold medal at the European Championship – a particularly exciting achievement for Israeli sport, and even more exciting because this is the second medal of the evening at the European Archery Championship.

Roi Dror (Kochav HaSharon Archery Club), Itai Shani (Maccabi Tel Aviv) and Niv Frankel (Maccabi Tel Aviv) defeated the Italian team in the final and brought the gold to Israel.

Earlier, Roi Dror (Kochav HaSharon Archery Club) and Michaela Moshe (Maccabi Tel Aviv) won Israel’s first-ever gold medal at the European Archery Championship in the mixed (mixed pairs) event, in a tense duel down to the last moment.
