History in Israeli fencing!
Israel’s men’s épée national team finishes the World Championship in fourth place — the highest achievement of an Israeli team in the history of the discipline at the World Championship.
Throughout the competition, the fencers displayed determination, character, and a high professional level, competed against the strongest teams in the world, and proved that Israeli fencing is in the front rank of the discipline.
Although the podium was within touching distance, fourth place is a historic achievement, a source of great pride, and a significant milestone on the way forward.
Well done to the fencers: Alon Sarid, Dov Vilensky, Yonatan Cohen, and Yehonatan Mesika.
