In 2009, at the age of 12, he immigrated to Israel. Dolgopyat began training at the Maccabi Tel Aviv club under the guidance of Sergey Veysburg, his coach to this day. Even before he came to Israel, Dolgopyat was already twice the Ukrainian champion for his age.
After numerous achievements in European and World Championships
Throughout his career, Artiem reached his peak so far by winning Israel’s first Olympic medal in gymnastics, and a gold one at that.

This was Israel’s second gold medal in the Olympic Games in history.

Paris 2024 – Silver Medal – Floor Exercise

Dolgopyat won a silver medal in the floor exercise in Paris thanks to a great routine that earned him 14.966 points.
He didn’t replicate the gold from Tokyo, but considering he struggled a lot in the preliminaries and barely made it to the final, he managed to prepare mentally excellently and within a week recovered and got back on track just in time to get back on the podium. Dolgopyat was the second to perform his routine in the final in Paris. Only Filipino Carlos Yulo managed to perform a better routine than Dolgopyat and won gold.
