The Olympic Committee of Israel Joins the “Ot Zikaron” Initiative, and Dedicates It to the Memory of Athlete and Soldier Eden Nimri

Memorial Day Eve 2026, The Olympic Committee of Israel is joining the “Ot Zikaron” (Memorial Sign) initiative – a unique project to commemorate the fallen of the Iron Swords War, in which dozens of organizations and senior leaders across the country are taking part.

The Olympic Committee has chosen to dedicate its participation to the memory of athlete and soldier Eden Nimri, of blessed memory.

Eden was a professional swimmer on Israel’s youth national team and fell in battle at the Nahal Oz outpost on the morning of October 7, while saving the lives of 17 female soldiers during a heroic fight in a shelter.

As part of the initiative, on Memorial Day Eve, Eden’s handwriting will be featured in the Olympic Committee’s logo, as a personal and moving tribute.

In their memory.
In the memory of all of them.
